2 strategies for effective posts that converts

Every day our customers are flooded with ads, on the street, on TV, on the radio, on social media ... everywhere. For this reason it is important to have a direct communication channel with them that allows you to reach them with them effective communication.

Choose the medium

If you have a tool in your hands like Flox that allows you to send messages to customers with push notification without having their phone numbers, you are already well underway.

Alternatively you can do it for a fee with sms-marketing systems (expensive and with the limit of 160 characters without images) or with Whatsapp (with the limit of lists of up to 250 contacts who must have your number in memory otherwise they will not receive the message) and all the resulting privacy implications.

The strategies

Once you have chosen the tool with which you will contact your users, all you have to do is choose the tone to use in the messages (ironic, formal, etc ...), what type of messages to send (informative, surveys, offers, etc ...) and how to divide yours clients.

In any case, it is always important that the message structure is as follows:

HEADER: very captivating short introduction that invites the customer to read the rest

COPY: content of the message, try to be clear but at the same time brief ... the customer's attention threshold is always very low

CTA: invites the customer to do something (Call To Action)

IMAGE: if possible always combine one or more images with your posts

Here are 2 strategies that you can immediately put into practice!

Strategy 1: The Survey

A strategy of this type can be used to make your customers express a preference and then divide them into groups based on the preference expressed and send targeted offers. Suppose you have a clothing store and you want to push two designs A and B

MESSAGE 1 (COMBINED WITH TWO PHOTOS WE WILL CALL A / B)

CAN YOU SMELL THE SCENT OF SPRING IN THE AIR?

There is nothing better than the arrival of spring to renew your wardrobe. Which of these two dresses do you prefer?

To vote reply to this message by writing A or B (Or use the Poll Function)

REPLY NOW!

Once the message is sent you will start receiving replies, what you have to do is divide the customers into lists… based on preference A or preference B (which could be for example skirt and trousers or it could be colour preference).

When your customers answer you, you MUST thank them and what better is there to say thank you than with a discount?

MESSAGE 2 (CHANGE CONTENT ACCORDING TO ANSWER)

THANKS FOR VOTING

Do you know that I also prefer Model A? Don't tell anyone… it will be our secret! Do you want model A in your wardrobe? You have until tomorrow to get it with a 10% discount! To get this special offer, simply reply to this message indicating your size!

WHAT SIZE DO YOU WEAR?

In this way you will have two new pieces of information about your customers, namely their size and colour preference ... with this you can start building very accurate lists to which you can send targeted messages!

Strategy 2: The Soapie

This is a very useful technique for those who offer niche services or products. It consists of sending chained messages in which each message invites you to read the next ... a bit like the episodes of your favourite soapie.

Suppose we are a beauty center that wants to propose a new pedicure treatment in anticipation of summer.

MESSAGE 1 (CREATE REPORT)

WHERE ARE YOU GOING ON HOLIDAY THIS SUMMER?

I was thinking about what to do with my vacation this summer… and since I just can't decide I thought I'd ask you. So this year I'm going to book my holiday according to your preferences! Tomorrow I will share the results ...

WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND I SHOULD GO?

MESSAGE 2 (CREATE THE NEED)

ARE YOU MAD?

Many of you recommended the Maldives ... but I can't afford them because you guys don't wax enough 😜

In any case, 80% of my clients recommended the beach ... it would be nice, but by in all honesty lately I have created annoying and unsightly thick heels.

DOES THIS HAPPEN TO YOU TO?

(and in the meantime we can insert in your PEDICURE list the customers who answer yes)

MESSAGE 3 (START SEARCHING FOR A SOLUTION)

I'M NOT ALONE!

Your answers have consoled me ... I will not be the only one going to the beach in my tekkies in shame 🤣🤣🤣

But no! I have decided to do something for all of us! I will look for the perfect treatment to make our feet look like new again.

Give me a few days and I'll send you a message with all the information!

DO YOU LIKE THE IDEA?

MESSAGE 4 (THE EPIPHANY)

EUREKA !!!

I found the solution to our problem… we will all need to make room in our shoe cupboards to accommodate the new sexy sandals and flip flops we've always wanted and never bought because of our unsightly calluses.

CALLUSBYE will make our feet feel as smooth as when we were little girls! The treatment will cost the public R 900 but as I discovered it thanks to your support, I will offer it at 50% off to the first 10 of you who will respond YES! to this message

3… 2… 1… BOOK YOUR SPOT!

!

If you notice ... in both strategies I always aim to involve customers by giving them a way to say their opinion, and, always in both strategies, I create scarcity by putting a time limit (in the first example) or a limit in quantity (in the second ).

Advertisers crush the average user by imposing what, according to their business, they would like. Nobody bothers to ask them what they really want.

This approach could be the basis of your winning strategy especially if you manage to enclose everything in a single tool like FLOX that allows you to send messages (for free and with notification on your customer's mobile phone), segment customers into lists, propose showcases in which you present products and services and also allows you to sell via your own app.

Learn how to increase your sales and appointments guaranteed with Flox or you don't pay!

A unique experience that will allow your customer to enjoy to a safe space on their phones

always accompanied by your effective communication!
